Box of 12 assorted compressed charcoal

Description

Compressed charcoals are produced using a chemical formulation based on pigments and binders. This process gives the charcoal a regular shape, making it easier to hold in the hand and more solid, making it easier to transport. These charcoals are less volatile and last longer than natural charcoals. They are oilier and leave more marks on the paper (and are less easy to remove).
Intense black, they are perfectly miscible with Esquisse Graphite, Sanguine and Sépia pencils.
It is recommended for quick or long sketching sessions.
Compressed charcoal is available in 5 graduations from HB to 4B, with a diameter of 8mm and a length of 95mm.
The graduations range from H (Hard) for hardness to B (Bold) for softness. The higher the number, the harder or softer the pencil.
