To achieve the right skin tone, it is important to play with the different values (light, contrast, shadows) of the skin. To accentuate the colour of a complexion, it is advisable to apply the pigments all at once, without insisting, because the more you insist on an area, the more the pigments mix.

For best results, use them on white or light-coloured fine- or medium-grain paper.
