We make our pencils, just as Nicolas Jacques did in 1795, using all the wood we need, including California cedar, the finest wood available. For our artist pencils, we apply up to 12 coats of varnish to achieve a perfect finish. We add a small cap to the end of the pencil to create a high-quality artist pencil, just as they were made in Paris.
